We provide high-resolution imagery and geospatial data for environmental assessment and monitoring, combining novel field methods with state-of-the-art data science techniques. By combining inputs such as drone and satellite data we provide spatial and temporal analyses on biodiversity, aboveground biomass, land-cover and topography.
A key element of our approach is the employment of local community members, leading to a more efficient and effective use of resources, as solutions are tailored to local realities. By providing a livelihood that can help foster a connection and a sense of stewardship towards the environment, we are working towards building a stronger and more sustainable future for us all.
Our three-pronged approach
1. Field Methods
We specialise in working in some of the most biodiverse and challenging environments in the world, having field experience across four continents: Europe, Africa, Asia and North America. We make full use of current and historic satellite imagery to design cost-effective field methods that consider specific terrain, weather and logistical challenges of the study site.
2. Bespoke Hardware
Our customised remote sensing hardware enables us to capture more than meets the eye. Combining proprietary sensors with inexpensive and lightweight drones, we are developing solutions that can be deployed at field sites lacking the infrastructure required for heavy and expensive variants. This allows us to work in remote, rugged terrain typically considered too risky for more conventional methods.
3. Data Analysis and Interpretation
Raw data cannot be used for effective decision-making without the appropriate analyses and experienced interpretation. We are able to provide profound insights into the ecology of a landscape using cutting-edge machine learning algorithms and statistical methods.
